How can I launch a homemade skin care line?
I have an idea for a skin care line, and I’ve heard of others doing very well after starting small. So, what steps do I take to actually do this?
Where are the recipes?
Also, what if I want to use specific active ingredients (e.g., alpha hydroxy or salicylic acid)? How do I get those? What government oversight will I be subject to? FDA? FTC?
Should I consult with a dermatologist and/or aesthetician first? If so, how do I find a good one, and what questions do I need to ask them?
Any tips for getting it into stores?
What else do I need to know?
I know I ask a lot, but I’m excited about my idea. I just don’t have the know-how to make it happen. I appreciate any and all constructive advice.

How does oral medication for acne know how to clear up the area?
I have a minor acne problem on my chin and the corner of mouth. I recently went to the dermatologist to find out how to get rid of it. She prescribed oral medication that treats acne. My question is how does the oral medicine know where the acne is and how does it clear it up? I guess I’m just really skeptical about this whole thing. Thanks!
need recommendations on good skin care brands?
Getting married in Oct and want to know the differences in brands like La Prierie, Shiseido and Chanel, I’m not interested in cheap brands like Avon or Mary Kay. I’m still shopping for a dermatologist or a skin care professional for weekly facials but that will be two months before the wedding, so in the meantime I would like to start with my own at home. I have been using Shiseido for toners and moisturisers and other brands like Mac for shadows and foundation. They seem to be ok, but Mac makes me feel too heavy and overly done.
I am interested in buying something for wrinkles, blemish or spot treatment and whitening, moisturiser and toner
The reason why I’m not insterested in ‘cheaper’ brands like Mary Kay and Revlon, is because I’ve used them before and they just dont work. I bought multiple brands of the Loose powder and the oil control powder and they turn my face oily after a couple of hours- whereas when I tried the La Prairie antishine powder I didnt have to worry about it the entire day

What is the perfect skin care system for a 19 year-old with combination skin?
I break out often and have combination skin, and I have a lot of acne scars. I have used clinique, which made my skin worse and cannot go to the dermatologist because it has been said that their prescriptions often fail once you stop the regimen. What kind of skin care would you recommend? (Professionals preferred) …i’m tired of trial and error! Running out of options!
