I don’t take drugs, I don’t care much for nature, I don’t and never intend to go on protests, I wash myself and I’m not much of an optomist. I don’t wear make-up, I never will be a vegetarian, I don’t dye my hair.
But I do like the beauty in nature, I have highlights of blonde/red/purple in my hair, I have natural pale skin but not clear skin, being a quiet person living in solitude, believe in soulmates/true love, still believe magic, listen new age/spellbinding albums (Evanescene, Patricia Spero, Pia, Juliana, Llewellyn, Medwyn Goodall, Terry Oldfield, Sally Oldfield and Carollyn Hillyer), I’m a realist, love the idea of tranquility, wear beautiful medieval tunics, jeans with ribbon or sequin trimmings and tie-dye tops plus gypsy skirts in the summer. I have goth vaules: beauty can be found in sorrow and dark things in general. It’s an acceptance of all aspects of life. emphasis is shifted toward the mystical and the other-worldly in creativity and art.
I know people hate labels. But I see them as compliment, a type of art in name. I’d rather have a label than be nicknamed quiet girl by people who don’t know my name! Oh and for your information I’m in 20’s.
SBirdie: I love you! Thank you for saying that.
znz_zan: Cute, but you ain’t getting any points!
CuteWriter: Without values than a subculture cannot exist, if there isn’t any goth values then what do you call this: Goth as Counter-Culture
tajmina: you are sweet and nicest person with advice.
Everyone else: STOP Yelling!! I get what you saying I really do. I don’t really want anyone to call me a label.
I wrote all this so I could silently call myself something. Something adventous and interesting. To add more light and less depression on myself.
Needless to say I find those who don’t have a "thing", those who look and act like everyone else, those who don’t resist maturity from the inside out….boring (minus my family of course and one friend)!
a hipth….goppie…my goth nephs and sister and daughters are true goth….they are like you…but we also love the marilyn manson disturbed, blkeyedpeas…we’re there ok?u R a REAL cool person

you call them by their name and accept who they are without trying to label or box them in.

Sounds like you trying to be both, why do you need a label. Be yourself. You must be young. When you grow up none of this will matter.

You are you. What other label do you need?

I agree with Green fairy, You’re a bohemian.
You don’t have the traits of either Hippie or Goth.

my choice would be gothippie. But ask yourself why do you need a label to be an individual. don’t be a stereotype. be you.

First of all, there are no "goth" values. Being a "goth" is a simply belonging to a costumed group of young people determined to assert their uniqueness by dressing just like a million other people who aren’t getting enough attention.
Second, labels are useless and this kind of thing is never considered once you get past about 7th grade. In the real world, you will simply have to dress like a normal person within certain limits, and use your good core values to make friends, function in the professional world, and deal with your family. Wearing costumes and believing in magic don’t work outside school-time cliques. The music you listen to doesn’t define who you are or whether you’re cool or not.
You don’t need a label. And in fact, running around loudly proclaiming that you belong in some bizzare, sub-culture group or uniformed "individuals" really puts people off. Be you and don’t do that by forcing yourself into one clique or another.

I would call you young, and you. There is beauty in nature (it happens to be the only church I attend), but with living, comes the hungry mouths of everything. This is the spiral of the living world. I would say to you: keep reading. Go outside and study nature in your own way. Revel in the sensations of the universe. Enjoy the progression in your life, because perspective is everything. Your actions make who you are, so always be thoughtful and purposful, working for your beliefs and ideals. There is plenty of good work to be done. Also, please take this piece of advice from me (and if you can ever learn from someone else’s mistakes you are way ahead of the game) your friends do not make who you are, but you will get painted with the same brush. Seek out people who are truly good people that love and support you and deserve your love and support. Good luck friend.

I don’t think there is any one person out there that truly fits a certain label or stereotype. You are a unique individual, and should celebrate that! Don’t fall into the trap of trying to label yourself because you’ll only limit your potential for finding your true personality. It sounds like you may be trying to identify with a certain crowd or find the type of people you would fit with best. If your "goth" friends think you’re too much of a "hippie" or the other way around, ignore them and follow your own path of life’s discovery!

nothing wrong with any of that. Sounds like you are a very interesting person. I have always been interested in worldly things. I am drawn to the unexplainable. Simply because it is unexplainable. Hope you find the answere you are looking for.
